Twelve-Kings-of-Sharakhai-final-sm2  Twelve-Kings_Final-sm2

Why, yes. Yes you do. Let me explain.

Twelve Kings in Sharakhai releases September 1st in the US and September 3rd in the UK. And as you may or may not know, getting pre-orders really helps a book and the author. The opening weeks of a book’s release is treated a lot like move releases, and the more you can get right away, the better things look for the book long-term, including the other books in the series.

So to help reward all of you who buy the book early, I’m running a pre-order incentive. From now until September 4th, 2015, if you pre-order a copy of Twelve Kings in Sharakhai, anywhere in the world, whether its in electronic, physical, or audio formats, I will send you free stuff.

Where can you find the book?

And if you’d like to try before you buy, you can download the first three chapters here:

You can also look at the page for Twelve Kings in Sharakhai to see all the really heartwarming stuff people are saying about the book. Folks like Robin Hobb, Glen Cook, C. S. Friedman, Michael J. Sullivan, John Marco, David Coe, John Hornor Jacobs, and many more have been kind enough to read the book and say something nice about the book.

What stuff will I send you? First of all, I’ll send you my heartfelt thanks. Second, I’ll send you two actual things:

  1. A DRM-free e-book of The Winds of Khalakovo
  2. A DRM-free e-book of Irindai, Part 1 of a new Shattered Sands triptych

These will both be delivered to you in PDF, EPUB, and MOBI formats.

And by the way, if Irindai looks familiar, that’s because it’s a novelette that appeared in the Blackguards anthology from Ragnarok Publications. It is actually part of a triptych that I’ll be publishing later this year that has Çeda (the main character from Twelve Kings) as its lead. The triptych is titled Of Sand and Malice MadeStay tuned in the coming weeks for more information about that project!

But wait! There’s more!

For those that have a US shipping address and order physical copies of Twelve Kings in Sharakhai, DAW Books and Penguin Random House have graciously offered up two additional prizes for a giveaway. One lucky winner will receive print copies of Django Wexler’s The Shadow Campaigns trilogy, and one additional winner will receive Anthony Ryan’s The Raven’s Shadow trilogy. Thank you DAW, and Random Penguin!

US Giveaway #1: Django Wexler, The Shadow Campaigns

ThousandNames-198x300 ShadowThroneCover-199x300 Price-of-Valor-Red-199x300

“Wexler has produced something unusual in the fantasy line, with a setting reminiscent of the early Victorian period, out on the bleeding edge of Empire, a world of dust and bayonets and muskets… and magic. The characters are fascinating and -all- of them have secrets. The heroes range from the noble to the distinctly ambiguous…I read it at a gulp and look forward to more.” —S.M. Stirling, New York Times bestselling author of LORD OF MOUNTAINS

US Giveaway #2: Anthony Ryan, The Raven’s Shadow

“Ryan hits all the high notes of epic fantasy-a gritty setting, ancient magics, ruthless intrigue, divided loyalties, and bloody action.” —PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
